Lakeview District Awards for Reception
- Award of Merit 2017 - (Word or PDF)
The Award of Merit is a Longhorn Council honor presented at the recommendation of the Lakeview District Committee to registered Scouters who have rendered noteworthy service to youth, not only within, but also outside the Scouting Movement
- Kelcie T. Nance Memorial Emeritus Award and Fleur-De-Lis Award - (Word or PDF)
The Emeritus Award was established to honor Scouters who have continued to be active in unit, district and council events, even though their children have "graduated" from Scouts. Through their involvement, they have enhanced the lives of many youth as their Scouting career spanned the years.
The Fleur-De-Lis Award recognizes Scouters who not only work diligently to provide the Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and Varsity/Venture programs in their units, yet also expand their Scouting involvement to the district and/or council level by leading activities and/or events.
- Family of the Year Award 2017 - (Word or PDF)
The Family of the Year Award honors families who work as a team in scouting and have made a difference in their communities. Up to three families will be recognized this year – one from the Cub Scout program, one from the Boy Scout Program, and one at-large family. All awards will be based on the nominations received by the Lakeview District Committee.
- 2017 Lakeview Award - (Word or PDF)
The Lakeview Award recognizes Scout Leaders (one from Cub Scouts, one from Boy Scouts, and one from Varsity/Venture Scouts) who have done an outstanding job on the Unit level. It is awarded to leaders who make a difference in the lives of our youth.
- Lighthouse Award - (Word or PDF)
The Lakeview District Committee created the Lighthouse Award in 2002 to recognize registered Scouters who have provided special leadership and direction to the program for the Scouts of the Lakeview District by contributing outstanding actions, ideas, and enthusiasm. This award will be nominated and selected by the Lakeview District Commissioners Staff
